Hummingbird High is a desserts and baking blog focused on using seasonal, high-quality ingredients. Hummingbird High has been featured in many prestigious online and print food publications including Better Homes & Gardens, Food & Wine, Food52, and The Kitchn, as well as online mainstream publications like The Huffington Post and Buzzfeed. In 2013 and 2015, Saveur Magazine selected Hummingbird High from a pool of 50,000+ blogs to be one of the six finalists for the Best Desserts & Baking Blog in Saveur Magazine’s Best Food Blog Awards.
Hummingbird High was created in 2011 by Michelle Lopez, who bakes, writes, photographs, and edits all content on the blog. Michelle currently lives in San Francisco, CA, where she works as an engineer at Yelp and is an occasional freelance photographer for local restaurants and food-related events. Most recently, she was an events photographer for Bon Appetit Magazine’s Feast, a premier food and drink festival.
